The heart of the house. Floor-to-ceiling murals painted in 1937 by Braga artist Lúcio Fânzeres, who reproduced scenes from the temple of Ramesses III in Luxor from Richard Lepsius's engravings.

You sleep beside the oldest painting in Senat, older than those of the Egyptian Salon. A wall that has crossed generations, now the heart of this room.
At the top of the house, discreet and withdrawn. A more intimate scale and filtered light, made for resting away from it all.
Interior rooms bathed in overhead light through the skylight: soft, indirect daylight by day, the night sky above. Withdrawn from the street, made for deep rest. Available as a double or twin.
Breakfast is served on the top floor, with Braga and the Jardim de Santa Bárbara at the window. Morning light, unhurried coffee, the historic centre at your feet, and the whole day yet to begin.
An afternoon in the garden, by the water. An evening in the Salon, among murals and low light. Here there is nothing to do, and that is the true luxury.
